AdSkipper Pro Support
Everything you need to know about managing your subscription
🔧 How AdSkipper Pro Works
AdSkipper Pro is a licensed Chrome extension that automatically skips YouTube ads. Here's how the licensing system works:
- Subscribe: When you subscribe, you receive a personalized extension package with your license pre-installed.
- Validation: The extension validates your license every 24 hours with our servers.
- Ad Skipping: As long as your subscription is active, the extension will automatically skip YouTube ads.
- Cancellation: If you cancel, the extension automatically disables within 30 seconds (trials) or at the end of your billing period (paid).
Privacy First: The extension only tracks basic usage statistics (ads skipped, time saved) and validates your license. No personal browsing data is collected.
🚫 How to Cancel Your Subscription
Method 1: From the Extension (Recommended)
- Click the AdSkipper Pro icon while on YouTube
- Scroll to the bottom of the popup
- Click "Cancel Subscription"
- Follow the prompts to complete cancellation

What Happens After Cancellation?
| Subscription Type |
When Extension Stops |
Charges |
| Trial (7 days free) |
Immediately (within 30 seconds) |
No charges at all |
| Paid Subscription |
End of current billing period |
No further charges after current period |
Smart Detection: When you click cancel, the extension automatically detects the cancellation within 30 seconds and validates your license. You don't need to restart Chrome or reload pages.
🔒 License Validation System
AdSkipper Pro uses a secure licensing system to ensure only active subscribers can use the extension:
How Validation Works
- Frequency: Validates every 24 hours automatically
- Internet Required: Needs internet connection for validation
- Offline Grace Period: Works offline for up to 7 days after last successful validation
- Instant Cancellation Detection: When you cancel, extension checks within 30 seconds
What Gets Validated
- License token signature (cryptographically secure)
- Token not revoked in database
- Subscription is active (status = 'active' or 'trialing')
- License hasn't expired
If Validation Fails: The extension will display a red banner at the top of YouTube pages and stop skipping ads. You'll see: "🚫 AdSkipper Pro: Extension Disabled - License invalid or revoked"
🔍 Troubleshooting
Q: I cancelled but ads are still being skipped. Why?
A: This can happen if you have a paid subscription (not trial). Paid subscriptions continue working until the end of your billing period. Check your subscription status in Stripe to see your end date.
If you're on a trial and ads are still skipping, try:
- Refresh the YouTube page (or wait 30 seconds for auto-refresh)
- Check the browser console (F12) for validation logs
- Restart Chrome to force immediate validation
Q: Extension stopped working but I'm still subscribed. What do I do?
A: This usually means a validation issue. First, try these quick checks:
- Your internet connection is working
- You haven't been offline for more than 7 days
- Your payment method is current (check Stripe for payment failures)
- You didn't accidentally cancel your subscription
Need to Reinstall? If the extension is still not working, you can recover your download and reinstall:
Visit the Recovery Page
Enter your subscription email to receive a secure download link. Your license will automatically work with the reinstalled extension.
Still having issues? Open browser console (F12) and look for validation messages starting with [AdSkipper].
Q: How do I check my browser console for logs?
A: On any YouTube page:
- Press
F12 (or right-click → Inspect)
- Click the "Console" tab
- Look for messages starting with
[AdSkipper]
- Key logs: "License is valid" (good) or "License is invalid" (problem)
Q: Can I use the extension on multiple computers?
A: Each license is tied to a single installation. If you want to use AdSkipper Pro on multiple computers, you would need separate subscriptions for each device.
Q: What happens if I'm offline for more than 7 days?
A: The extension will stop working after 7 days offline. Once you reconnect to the internet, it will automatically validate your license and resume working (assuming your subscription is still active).
Q: How do I update the extension?
A: Updates are handled automatically through Chrome. However, since this is a developer-mode extension, Chrome won't auto-update it. To get the latest version:
- Check your email for update notifications
- Download the new version from your account
- Remove the old extension from
chrome://extensions
- Install the new version
Your license will automatically work with the new version.
